மியன்மார் முஸ்லிம்கள்: ஜம்இயத்துல் உலமா ஐநா மனித உரிமை செயலாளருக்கு கடிதம்

அகில இலங்கை ஜம்இயத்துல் உலமா மியன்மார் முஸ்லிம்கள் தொடர்பில் ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் மனித உரிமை அமைப்பின் செயலாளர் அல் ஹுஸைனுக்கு கடிதம் ஒன்றை அனுப்பியுள்ளது ,அதில் (Letter) மியன்மாரில் முஸ்லிம்கள் அந்த நாட்டின் அரசாங்க அதிகாரிகளினாலும் , பெளத்த தீவிரவாதிகளினாலும் மோசமான முறையில் நடாத்தப்படுவதாகவும் இது தொடர்பில் மனித உரிமை அமைப்பின் செயலாளர்அல் ஹுஸைன் தலையிடவேண்டும் எனவும் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளது

Your Excellency,

We, the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, the supreme body of the Islamic theologians in Sri Lanka, established in 1924, are very much concerned about the problems faced by the Rohingya Muslims in Burma.

It is very much disturbing and pathetic to notice that these Rohinya Muslims have been treated in a very inhuman manner by the Burmese Government officials and the Buddhist Extremists in that country. These innocent people who have been subject to annihilation by most heinous atrocities are struggling for their lives and fleeing to escape out of the country seeking asylum.

Very sadly we have not seen any constructive steps taken by any source so far to solve this most inhuman and flagrant violations of basic human rights perpetrated so openly with impunity. As human beings it is our duty to help these innocent victims and we very fervently request Your Excellency to intervene in this most inhuman violation of human rights and to redress their right to live as human beings.
